Celebrate Undergraduate Research and Creativity Honors Awarded
Throughout the year, Colorado State University recognizes and honors the achievements of undergraduate students in the areas of research and creativity. Students are invited to participate in a variety of events that will provide them an opportunity to showcase what they have learned through their research and creative activities. For the 2004-2005 school year, events culminated in the Celebrate Undergraduate Research and Creativity (CURC) Showcase held on Tuesday, April 19, at the Lory Student Center.
Many students and faculty members from CVMBS participated in CURC as exhibitors, mentors and judges. On April 20, an awards ceremony was held at Yates Hall to recognize all participants and present awards to winners from the various events.
Highest award winners (top 4 percent of all entries) from CVMBS were Chelsea Zimmerman, Keri Propst, and Emily Plake. High award winners (top 10 percent of all entries) were Adrienne Harris and Michael Frazier. CVMBS college winners (top 10 percent of College) were Sukantha Chandrasek, Yi Cheng (Sharon) and Betsy Taylor. A number of students from other colleges mentored by CVMBS also received high awards including Janet Kemp, Julia Shimizu, Karlie Intlekofer, and Brandon Wadas.
