Summer of 2006 I was part of the Colorado Avian Disease Surveillance Program at CSU.  As part of the program I worked to locate flocks in Colorado and collected samples for surveillance testing for Avian Influenza, Typhoid Pullorum, and other avian diseases.  I also worked to educate flock owners and the general public about Avian Influenza, including: the biology of the virus and necessary and practical biosecurity practices

I grew up on a cow-calf ranch in The Big Hole Valley in Montana .  I received in B.S. in Biotechnology in 2005 from Arizona State University .  I am interested in research, mixed animal practice, and international work.
